Marvin L. Hackman joined the firm in 1961,
after serving as law clerk to the Chief Judge of the United
States District Court in Indianapolis. His primary areas
of practice have been representing developers, owners, and
tenants of commercial real estate, including shopping centers,
office buildings, and hotels; banks and other financial
institutions making loans secured by real estate and security
interests in personal property; and small business organizations,
including equity offerings and other types of financing.
Mr. Hackman has also represented clients in other areas
such as buy-sell agreements, employment contracts and non-compete
agreements.
Mr. Hackman is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College
(AB summa cum laude) and Indiana University School of Law
(JD with high distinction). He also served as editor-in-chief
of the Indiana Law Journal. He is a member of the
Indianapolis Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association,
and the Business Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust
Law Sections of the American Bar Association. He has served
as a director of several civic associations.
